Kelly Van Hull was born in DeSmet South Dakota, a small town most known for it's tie to Laura Ingalls Wilder. She then went on to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and pursued a degree in Medical Transcription and Coding. Marriage and children led her out of that career and into the career of professional mom, all as she juggled five children and helped out with her husband's business. At the age of 33, she found herself writing her first novel, Tent City. She is currently working on the sequel to Tent City.
