Award-winning actress Eve Myles (Torchwood, Broadchurch) stars in this BBC thriller as Faith Howells, a fun-loving lawyer with a happy marriage and three children, enjoying an extended maternity leave from the law firm she founded with her husband, Evan (Bradley Freegard, Doctors). Then one day, Evan leaves for work but never arrives. Faith scrambles to handle the clients Evan left behind, all while trying to find out what happened to her husband. As the days go by with no sign of him, Faith becomes the police's prime suspect, and her search for the truth leads her to the criminal underbelly of her quiet Welsh town. When long-buried family secrets come to light, Faith wonders if she ever really knew her husband at all. Filmed on location along the stunning Welsh coast, this suspense-filled mystery also stars Mark Lewis Jones (Master and Commander), Matthew Gravelle (Broadchurch), Eiry Thomas (The Indian Doctor), and Aneirin Hughes (Hinterland).

Eve Myles is utterly brilliant in the role of Faith Howells who kisses her husband goodbye one Wednesday morning and disappears. Myles totally inhabits the role, taking the viewer with her as she faces all the consequences of her husband, Evan's disappearance.
She juggles returning to work as a lawyer, take care of their 3 children and attempt to find out what has happened to Evan. To say more about the plot would give too much away.
Every aspect of this drama is 1st class. The whole cast give authentic and committed performances. The 3 children are a delight to watch and the off screen bonding that Eve Myles invested in really pays off. The Welsh scenery is stunning and haunting at times. The music by Amy Wadge is great in it's own right but use it as a musical backdrop and it becomes an integral and beautiful element in this stunning drama.
The guiding hand that holds all this brilliance together is the director, Pip Broughton. Her attention to detail is second to none. She makes no attempts to compete with or copy the fast paced glossy productions that have little substance to them. Broughton has 1 aim here and that is authenticity, and that is what you get, from extreme close ups on Myles as she breaks down in tears to the tenderest shots of Rhodri, the baby, sleeping in his cot where, as Myles said in an interview, you can almost smell his sift skin.
This drama is quite unique. Written by Matthew Hall, it takes the viewer on a journey with Faith, never knowing quite what to expect next. I can't recommend this highly enough and is worth watching for the powerhouse performance given by Eve Myles that takes the viewer to every height and depth of her journey as a lawyer, mother and wife who is searching for her missing husband. 10 out of 10!!
It grips from start to finish and you will not be disappointed and i suppose the soundtrack is additional icing on this cake, but for me it's the wonderful Welsh scenery which adds the final touch.
You will not be disappointed
Found this series truely amazing and so glad will be able to watch again and again!
This will tug at every emotional and will have your gripped from episode 1!
’Keeping Faith’ gets away with it for two reasons. As in that other terrific bilingual English/Welsh show, ‘Hinterland’, the natural beauty of the locations combined with the originality of many of the ‘town’ locations makes for a fascinating visual feast. The other thing that ‘Keeping Faith’ has going for it is Eve Myles (‘Torchwood’, ‘Broadchurch’, ‘Victoria’) who is a terrific actress who carries this show as far as she is able. The cinematography is very good and I found the use of music to be innovative and atmospheric. Overall this is good stuff, I think. It needs to be half the length and then it would be really great. But for me, it’s a solid 4 stars.
