Connection and Operation:

I bought this product to stream and record PS4 gameplay. I cannot speak to its claimed 4K performance as PS4 output is capped at 1080p 30fps, however at that output it worked very well. I was able to capture my gameplay and stream it on via computer with no noticeable input lag on the monitor I used for gameplay. For what I needed this product did the job admirably, and at a very reasonable price.

One thing to bear in mind for use with a PS4 - if you are using headphones plugged in to your controller, capturing PS4 audio is not possible through HDMI. This is because the PS4 won’t output sound over HDMI while it’s going through headphones (not a problem with this card, it’s a PS4 feature). I got around this by capturing audio from a second PS4 controller.
