Kathy is a British author of character-driven mysteries, stories of intrigue, obsession and jealousy. Though they have a strong plot line, it is the characters, their relationships and their passions which drive her stories forward. Thoughtful and absorbing, they are stand-alone, contemporary novels with a strong sense of place.
She trained as a physiotherapist but a back injury forced her to change career. After studying design, then working as a freelance artist, she started writing several years ago and now writes full-time. Her first novel is Deep Water, Thin Ice, a tense mystery set against the beguiling tides of southwest England. A second novel, 'Silent Faces, Painted Ghosts', a tale with a quiet air of menace, is set during a long, hot Provencal summer. Her third novel, 'That Still and Whispering Place', was published in September 2016. Set in Cornwall, it tells the story of the disappearance of a young girl from a small, insular community. It's assumed the child was taken away by a stranger, a tourist. But maybe she never left the village at all? Someone has been lying...
