It's a warm and slightly eerie atmosphere that supports Sam Brookes' voice perfectly on this album. I much prefer this to his already very good previous, more acoustic album. I saw him touring with the excellent Scott Matthews, maybe some of Scott's sense of soundscape rubbed off here. All the same it's a strong, beautifully sung, well produced album with haunting melodies and well-crafted songs that you replay over again, in part because of that atmosphere that runs through the whole album. Lovely.

Almost feel guilty leaving the comment above but after having listened to the promo tracks for this album on soundcloud it could have been so much better. The promos for tracks 2,3,4 and 5 were staggeringly good, far better than the versions on the album. That said its still a very good album and well worth the money
