PLUG & PLAY INDOOR INFRARED FILL LIGHT: Compared with the traditional infrared light, i2 is easier to use, only plug into the VR and then work. 2 gears of brightness are optional, letting you enjoy the VR in a dark environment without disturbing others. NOTE: i2 can be used normally with a battery head strap at the same time and can see VR is charging, but it does not show the power of head strap. Displaying the power level is the official patent, which cannot be done by third-party products.
TWO-GEAR BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT: When the I2 IR light is turned on, the furniture and walls of the room will reflect infrared light from all angles, so that the infrared light fills the entire room, maintaining the sensitivity of the VR sensor in the dark. The first gear of brightness can be used in a room of 15-20㎡, and the second gear of brightness can be used in a room of 30-40 ㎡. If you need to use it in a larger room, you can buy multiple I2 lights, with a power bank or charger use
ENERGY-SAVING IR LIGHT: Gear 1 brightness consumption （0.8w）2.2%/h, gear 2 brightness consumption（1.5w） 4.5%/h, While ensuring sufficient light, I2 Ir light will not consume too much power of the VR. It does it's job remarkably well and was enjoying playing in the dark. More recently an meta update that seems to draw more power from the battery I have has made it so I can't keep up with the power demands, so have stopped using it for now, but hoping a later meta update will sort this out.

It's a very fun experience to have what are now essentially night vision goggles. Plus, the fact that the infra red light seems to pass though some coloured glass very easily means you can sort of look into things you can't with your eyes. When I looked at my glass topped hob, I could see through the normally opaque glass, and see all the electronics inside. Some colours also translate very strangely too, the dye of my leggings was practically invisible but the ink stain on them was darker than to the naked eye, so my normally colourful patterned leggings with a barely noticeable stain look white and ruined by ink through the headset with this ir torch turned on.

Using this also means that my headset doesn't loose tracking when I'm walking around with it on and go into a darker room. However, I mainly got this so that I could play in the dark with so that there would be no light bleed, while that is perfectly doable, I haven't found myself doing that all that much. The light bleed from the quest 2 just isn't that much of an issue to me.

With that said I would still buy this again even if I do only use it as a fun novelty/gimmick.

Bought this for the quest 2 and it did make a difference using in the evening time or without any lights on but I never really use it a night or with the lights switched off.
It's fairly overpriced for what it is,you can buy an inferred floor light cheaper and brighter.
Anyway,seems like a decent gadget but
Looks cool and comes with 2 adapters in the box.
Works a treat and definitely recommend it for better tracking with low light.

I bought this as it saved me putting on the main light in the room, as the quest 2 was sometimes losing tracking in a dimly lit room.
I tried playing in a completely dark room and it was as if the room was well lit. Great small device wanted to buy another for my Pico 4, I have used it with that and it works fine with it to also. (unfortunately they have been out of stock with no indication of when they will be back in).
For some reason it doesn't work with the Quest Pro if you where thinking of picking one up for that

Bought at the £30 price tag but see it's currently half that price currently so my rating for value for money is based on the higher price.

Does it work - Yes, and works really well, fits snug to the headset, provides a passthrough USB-C and doesn't obstruct the headphone socket so is great for using the device at night time should you so wish,

A small concern that taking the device back off the USB-C feels a little more difficult than it should be and I have to gently wiggle the device to completely remove which makes me feel I'm putting additional unnecessary pressure on the USB port in the head set.

My major gripe is that having had the device for a couple of months and used less than 10 times the silver (which is plastic) edge that supports the IR light has already broken with a large chunk of the plastic falling away. It appears to be at the location where it clips onto the rest of the device. Super glue will probably resolve this but shouldn't really happen with a device costing £30

I was initially disappointed as I frequently lost tracking until I realized after turning it on (long press), you tap the power button for full brightness, after that perfect tracking.
I just played an hour of beat saber in the garage with no lights in pitch blackness, using passthrough could easily find my water, then just to really test things walked back to the house (no internal door to garage), locked the door, went upstairs and had a pee, all with no lights on. Now I don't recommend you do that, but I wanted to test this out, and glad to say, it passed with flying colours.
The only con is the price, but if you don't mind paying the price, it really dose what it says on the tin.
