This Set comes in a HUGE oblong box - ribbon hinged - lovely and glossy, and has a `magnetic' fastener, and a small ribbon tab to open up the box lid. The Box when opened reveals a very large and substantial book - containing all the Card illustrations - along with a step by step description of what features in each picture on each Card. It also includes of course all the interpretations; both upright and reversed with also a section on a couple of unique Spreads. I never use the reversed method myself, but for those who do, you will be pleased to hear that these Cards have a beautiful design on the reverse of each which does not give away if they are upside or down when laid out. This is also a very unique Deck, in that there is a 79th Card called: `The Kingdom Within' - with its own illustration and meaning - all in all very nice!
The Cards are large and `chunky'. Nice thick and glossy and exceptionally nice quality indeed! The colours are very bright and vibrant, and the pictures have plenty going on and they look an ultra modern take on the usual Tarot design/images.
I really, really like these Cards. The whole Set oozes quality. You might find the Cards a little difficult to shuffle at first - perhaps being so thick and glossy, but I feel sure they will become easier to shuffle with use and as time passes.
First off, they are packaged in a very practical and quality manner. Sturdy box with magnetic opening and quite a substantial accompanying book. The cards themselves are larger than the standard tarot and a little difficult for my size 7 hands to shuffle.
The card stock is a good quality, thick stock with edge to edge printing finished with a gloss covering. You cannot fault the quality. The images are non standard too which in some ways is a breath of fresh air. The images are delightful, cartoonistic but very colourful and pretty. Then the love of this deck halts and confusion sets in.
Learning to read with this is a case of either ignore the imagery and just read the cards as you would in any other deck (i.e. it's a 10 of wands therefore.....bla bla bla) or completely relearn the tarot. For instance, I have been reading for many years and do so professionally and in whatever deck I am using, in whatever reading I had done, the 9 of pentacles means stability, accomplishment, self-sufficiency, independence etc but in this deck the same card is given the keyword 'Inopportunity' and described as "Now is not the time for anything new! A situation or person sweetly entices the querent, who is lost in misconception: The timing is wrong and the essentials of the circumstances don't add up...." huh? Or the 4 of swords which to me denotes, time out, rest, recuperation, contemplation etc. Here it is given the keyword 'partnership'????Read more ›
Like any pack you need to spend time with it and you will be well rewarded.

After I got them I was quite surprised to find them within a beautiful box, that had a great book to accompany them, and beautiful cards. The box is for storing the book and cards together and it is well constructed. The box top is hinged to the lower portion of the box with a silk ribbon so the box top will not fold all the way back and damage the spine.
Once I got the cards, I noticed that they felt like they were oracle feeling cards. What I mean is, if you have ever had an oracle card deck then you would notice that the cards are made from a thick type plastic type material. These tarot cards are like that as well, but they are easier to shuffle. They do not stick to one another and mine have not started peeling as of yet. Typically, my oracle cards will begin peeling a few weeks after using.
Each and every single card in this deck is beautiful, whimsical colors, great scenes for each card, and the minor arcana have a picture depicting the scene. For instance, the 8 of wands will have a picture of characters showing what the 8 of wands represents. There wont be just a picture of 8 wands on there. This deck connects with the user instantly (atleast with me it did) and in addition to that there is an extra card called "The Kingdom Within". This card is up for interpretation, but I do love it when it comes up in a reading. It allows my intuition to really flow and come out.
I love this deck, I will be purchasing a second set incase it goes out of print and my first deck is over used and needs replacing. I must say, that this deck is right up there with the Thoth deck in my opinion. I have both decks sitting side by side, and they are my go to decks for myself, and others. Absolutely wonderful, and beautiful.
Buy them, you will NOT regret it!
5 stars all the way!
The book is jam-packed full of useful information, meanings, correspondences, and will help people of all levels of understanding.
This is now my favorite Tarot deck and am looking forward to using it.
The book is written for both the novice and the sage reader. It explains the history of the Tree of Life along with the lighter reading interpretations as well as the deeper complete life studies for the master who wishes to dig deeper than just a superficial look into the cards meaning. The incorporation of astrology theory will appeal to both readers, but for the master it adds and provides for a well-rounded reading.
I especially recommend this tarot to the novice as the book is well written - but be sure to follow the books teaching line as it is at the heart of this deck. If you bought this deck to go off on your own with readings, you will be wasting a very valuable tool that has been provided to you.
