Keela and Alec have been living together for about a year and they are about to move in to their new home however Keela is having issues with how fast their relationship is moving. They were only together two weeks before they were engaged and declaring their love for one another, she is also having a hard time dealing with the horrific events and revelations dealt with in the previous book in the form of nightmares. She keeping too much to herself and she needs to tell Alec how she is feeling but worries that if she does he will feel like she is rejecting him. So she has been continuing to pretend that everything is fine scared that he will walk away from her because if there is one thing that she is sure of its that she loves Alec with all her being and wants to spend her life with him she just wants to go slowly rather than rush into everything.
There are still the typical one liners from Alec and Keela that will keep you laughing and the bet will have you smiling from ear to ear. Storm as always awesome especially with the hate/hate relationship that he shares with Aideen.
The language is unnecessary but whatever, it's the authors style. I really don't get any of this but what irritated me was the poor edits on the flow of paragraphing near the end, someone obviously rushed this step
Keela and the girls add to the hilarity. It's all fun until Keela knocks into a sink. Then things go rapidly downhill from there.
This series is brilliant and so funny, despite some good the serious bits that take place.
A perfect balance between hot and funny with an additional sprinkle of the gangster theme.
I love this series.
Keela and Alec make a great couple but you have to love the Slater Brothers more than their women. Life was just becoming normal for Keela. Then Alec just seems to push the fast forward button and she just can't cope with the first moving life.
I would recommend the Slater Brother books.
