KDP SelectTM: Navigating Kindle's Freebie Day Kindle Edition
Most Helpful Customer Reviews on Amazon.com (beta)
There remains a marketing opportunity for someone to contact all the "free Kindle" websites and tweet to the Kindle Twitter accounts. This book is a start but it's not the magic bullet I'd hoped.
The best parts of this book were the Twitter and web lists of places where you can promote a free KDP select giveaway. Just like anything else, merely having an Amazon page for your book and running a free day doesn't mean hoards of people will automatically rush to download your book. This book will help you expand your reach with KDP Select.
Since I am an author mentor, I work with lots of people who are new to the whole KDP experience. I DO absolutely recommend this book for you if you are new to independent publishing.
Follow your bliss!
Ronda Del Boccio, the Story Lady
bestselling nonfiction and fantasy author
When I bought this particular book, I had just placed The Leopard Tree, our novel, in the program and picked three free days in a row. By following Dan's advice in this book, we had great exposure and there were 10,800 downloads in the three days. When we went back to selling books, we were selling 25 a day for awhile. Now we average two books a day. Clearly we have more work to do, but Dan's advice was right on the money. I only used about half the promotional suggestions he gave on those first three free days on Amazon. This weekend we have our book up for two more free days and I am doing every single thing Dan suggests exactly.
He has an amazing personal story and continues to innovate in the books he puts out. I am grateful to have gotten a little acquainted with him personally and especially grateful for this particular book. I'm reading it for the third time this week. Thanks, Dan.
