Product Description

Product Description

K1 tournaments have been taking place around the globe for a number of years and are designed to allow the world's best martial arts artists from a wide rang of disciplines, including karate, kickboxing, taekwondo, fungfu and kenpo, to complete in a format that favours no particular fighting style. This test of styles results in some of the most explosive action ever seen in a ring, where a single punch or kick could well determine the outcome.

Gamers can select one of 16 real -life fighters from previous event winners such as Holland's Ernesto Hoost to up and coming stars such as South Africa's Mike Bernardo.

This game has some bad reviews, and to be fair, it isn't as good as Tekken 3 or Dead or Alive. But this is a simuator rather than a beat 'em up. At first the game is a little slow and sluggish, but once you're used to the character control, this is a really good game! The career mode isn't too good, but the arcade and multiplayer is great fun. Give it time, if you're used to Tekken etc. you'll find it tricky to adjust, but once you're used to it, great stuff! :) Also when you complete the game with the various fighters, you see them in action with some nice video footage of their fights.

GRAPHICS- Basic with slow movement and ugly backrounds
GAMEPLAY- The queen mother moves faster than these guys
Lifespan- A few minutes of entertainment during an ad break
Overall k-1 Grand Prix is a missed opportunity, With essential fighting game elements missing in spades. simply put, no speed, no special moves, no need to play this game at all. Terrible!
