Kärcher FJ6 Foam Jet

FJ 6 foam nozzle with extra powerful foam for easy cleaning of all surfaces such as paint, glass and stone. Ideal for vehicles, winter gardens, garden furniture, façades, stairways, caravans, paths, walls, venetian blinds, terraces, driveways etc. Container capacity approx. 0.6 litres.

Pour Kärcher detergent directly into the foam nozzle, attach the nozzle to the gun and apply the foam. The detergent Dose can easily be adjusted on the foam nozzle (yellow knob). This is a very good bit of kit. I can squirt my liquid all over - it ends up very thick, white and sticky. My wife is very impressed by it.
It is very well made, solid, black and has great girth - it’s not skinny and feeble looking like the official Karcher one.
It fits easily on the end of my tool, feels very firm when erect and looks impressive when I’m on the drive waving it about to show my neighbours.
I feel like a real pro using it.

I’m new to snow foaming so this product was an additional purchase to compliment my Karcher Jet Wash.

It works well. Importantly the reservoir is not too big. You only need a little snow foam solution which is best mixed 50/50 with water. This then gives a perfect amount to use to wash two cars without the lance being weighed down with a big heavy weight (when full).

I particularly recommend this product as I originally bought a non-Karcher snow foam lance and had to return that as its quality was not up to standard.

I bought this to use with a Karcher K4. It fits perfectly, has a solid feel and is surprisingly well balanced when in use or stored.

The spray pattern can be a bit of a pain to get right initially. My first of attempts resulted in covering half the wife's car with foam whilst spraying my own. To be fair though, this isn't really a fault of the product as the shampoo choice, mix ratio and water pressure are going to be a big factor here and, like most things, practice helps.

In terms of foam production and coverage, I can't complain. Now that I've managed to get the hang of the adjustment, using a ratio of 1:3 (soap:water) in the bottle, I can get a nice thick snow affect consistently and the bottle capacity is just about enough to cover two cars. Well, once you get your technique right and stop spraying the street with foam.

On the whole, very pleased and would definitely recommend.

Good accessory, but be sure you know what it does - snow foam is a pre-wash so you'll likely still need to actually wash the car unless it wasn't all that dirty in the first place in which case a snow foaming does spruce it up.
I find that getting out the hose, pressure washer, extension lead then linking it all up, preparing the foam mix etc, etc, on and on then tidying it all up again a real pain and easily an hour of my life I'll never get back again - I try to tell myself I've got so many other important things to do (!).
Also, if it starts to spray a stream of 'non-foam', pull the plastic tube and you'll likely find that it's just clogged with soap residue buildup. This fixes it usually.

Doesn't fit the K5 KHB

Looking for a Foam Bottle for my Karcher 5KHB and settled on this one. The Mounting Card says suitable for K2, K3, K4, K5 and K7. It does not fit the K5 KHB as the lugs are larger and will not allow for locking of the connector. As can be seen by the photographs, the Yellow collet is from the soap bottle and the turquoise one is from the K5 KHB Lance. Although branded Karcher, they are not interchangeable without some form of modification, (going to re-engineer it and will post a further comment later)

ADDENDUM. After a bit of reshaping by means of my Dremel, I have trimmed and slightly modified the lugs to match the Turquoise connection. All hunky dory now and works like a dream. (Enjoyed the challenge but would have been easier to 'plug-and-play')

Had to buy the Kärcher Lance purely because I thought it would be the best for my K5. I was wrong, whilst it works well, I don’t get the right consistency of foam I was after. After further research, purpose made foam cannons with the brass middle section are allegedly better. Haven’t tried to confirm this.

I am happy and use it every time I wash the car, it’s just not what I was expecting.

Edit - Yeah, the brass cannons are SO MUCH BETTER!! Purchased one from ProKleen and the consistency of the foam was not to dissimilar to shaving foam and it meant the foam actually stuck to the car and did what it was supposed do. Don’t be afraid to order non Kärcher gear like I was, it was a waste of money/time in comparison. I stuck with it for 15/20 washes and should’ve bit the bullet a long time ago and purchased one sooner.

If like me you're put off by the reviews saying it doesn't fit older Karcher pressure washers, don't be. It does fit, however you will probably need to buy the Karcher M Adapter first. They changed fittings a while ago, but they've also made an adapter for the older ones (mine is a K2.335 and it works fine with the adapter).

It does produce good foam, haven't had any problems with it other then it's a bit tricky pouring shampoo in the small neck of the bottle. Works fine, but little expensive for what it is.

This gave a good amount of detergent foam. I used it with a Karcher K4 pressure washer. It was easy to attach and detach from the lance. I liked the fact that I could control the amount of detergent flowing through the nozzle, which meant that I could get good coverage and ensure that I was not using too much detergent. I have seen other reviews ststing that they went through a bottle of detergent on one vehicle, however I think that they may not have adjusted the detergent flow appropriately before use. I managed to do an SUV, a van and a motorbike with less than half a bottle of detergent.
