Format: Hardcover
This book is essentially a collection of quotes and gaffes said by or about our world leaders. Having read through this I am suprised that the world isn't in a worse state politically than it currently is. Repeat offenders George Bush Snr & George W Bush feature heavily as would be expected but there are also quotes by lesser known offenders from all over the world, Boyle Roche (18th century Irish MP) being one of these.
Some of my favourite quotes include , "A sound bite never buttered a parsnip" ~ John Major
"I think that gay marriage should be between a man and a woman " Arnold Schwarzenegger
"The House Of Commons is the longest-running farce in the West End" Cyril Smith
but there are many more that make you wonder how these people actually manage to get up & function on a daily basis! Also included is a chapter on gaffes the Royal family have said including many from Prince Philip , in fact the majority from Prince Philip !!
Compiled by Mark Hanks and his friend , Benedict Garret who both studied politics at University this is a witty book to dip into now & again if only to remind yourself not to take politicians too seriously , they are human and they do , often , have faults !!

Here is a great collection of gaffes and stupid quotes made by politicians both from the UK and US.I take my hat off to the authors Mark Hanks and Ben Garrett for compiling these.George w Bush features heavily which should of course suprise no one(would you trust this man to run a market stall?).Another idiotic speech was Donald Rumsfeld's "Unknown knowns" which is included here(what on earth was he talking about?)
We also get contributions from Blair,Brown and John Major etc so buy and have a good giggle.
