I can't really see why this book is advertised as "an emotional page turner" - the only reason I turned the pages was to get through it as quickly as possible, and I just skimmed over a lot of pages, probably a third of the book. I kept on reading and finished it in the hope there would be a turnaround for the better, but sadly not.
What I really disliked about this book was that
a) 300 pages was way too much - there was so much irrelevant information that the story could have been told in less than 200 pages;
b) there wasn't really that much happening in the book, and what did happen wasn't told in an interesting way; for me there wasn't a single moment where I couldn't wait to see what happened next. It was one of the most boring books I've read in a while.
If I hadn't waited to start this book until the Amazon reimbursement period had passed, I would have returned it.
The second star is because the book is very well edited (spelling, grammar), otherwise it would have gotten just the one.
