About the Author
Nobel prize-winning writer Rudyard Kipling was born in Bombay, India, but returned with his parents to England at the age of five. Influenced by experiences in both India and England, Kipling s stories celebrate British imperialism and the experience of the British soldier in India. Amongst Kipling s best-known works are The Jungle Book, Just So Stories, and the poems Mandalay and Gunga Din. Kipling was the first English-language writer to receive the Nobel prize for literature (1907) and was amongst the youngest to receive the award. Kipling died in 1936 and is interred in Poets Corner in Westminster Abbey. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Four year old daughter enjoys listening to the stories but my nine year old son has become a great fan - this now regularly is on his cd player in his room.
Buy this and you'll all be able to listen together and enjoy.

Impenetrable language for young children. Nothing wrong with the book/edition as such, just the writing style.Published 1 month ago by Mr. R. Harris

This is just a poor photocopy of an old library book. The images are poor and the text is a mess.Published 2 months ago by Mr. N. J. Pettefar
