I can't believe it's been 2 years since reading anything from Stacey Lynn so I was really excited to read Just One Regret.. I loved it just like everything else I have read from this author.
I loved how the story opened up, no messing about plenty of drama, with great characters that you have no problem connecting with and that was just the first couple of chapters so you get a pretty good idea that you are in for a good read and that's exactly what you get, no disappointment here.
Just One Regret is a very touching love story about Kennedy and Grayson who have been friends since the age of 14 but one moment changed everything and as the story unfolds it all becomes very apparent that Kennedy has been living with nothing but heartache and guilt but she didn't have a lot of choices and even this early on all you could think about is why didn't Grayson get in touch.
Grayson is now an MMA fighter and doing extremely well for himself, of course Kennedy's been following his career all the way but again one night is about to change things yet again and this is where the story opens up.
Kennedy and Grayson start communicating the chemistry and love for each other is undeniable but Grayson has know idea what Kennedy is hiding from him, we now know, and this is where it starts to get pretty anxious and unbearable because it's only a matter of time before he finds out and with Grayson's Father waiting in the wings to reveal all it couldn't have been delivered in a worse way and from this point on the story gets very explosive and emotional, your on the edge of your seat because you can understand both of their reasonings for the whole situation but the heartbreak you feel is very apparent.

Wow.. Just wow.
I could not put this book down. I actually read this book a few weeks back. And I still remember exactly how I felt when reading it. Greyson has still not left me.. Book boyfriends come and they go... But Greyson.. May have the same name as my first rabbit , rest his soul! He stole my heart.
Sarah, who is Kennedys best friend takes her to Vegas to watch a fight. She thinks Kennedys a fan. She is.. But she seems to only cheer for who ever is opposite Greyson. I bet it fills her heart with joy every punch to the face he receives.
I cried reading this book. I couldn't believe this guy who loved his best friend, finally gives in to temptation and leaves her. He leaves her!!!
She finally sees him again after several years, when Greyson is a big well known fighter. And the fight that Sarah takes Kennedy as her birthday surprise is Greyson's fight.
Greyson is meant to take his time in this fight, but he sees Kennedy and stares and knocks the guy out in one go.
Talk about intense!
He makes it clear straight away that he wants her still.
But Kennedy has a secret.
And only Sarah knows..
And I hate spoilers, I want to write more...
So just read this book. and have your heart broken, and put back together, and broken again.
And see just what a real man our Greyson turns out to be. Even when the secret is heart breaking.

Right, I promise that I am not under any circumstances going to give anything away – it will kill me not to tell you some of the juicy titbits that this fantastic book has to offer but I am 100% certain that you need to read this for yourself.
The book is about Kennedy and Grayson and it follows them for much of their lives, starting early on.
They had very little when they were kids but they had each other but things change and it so did they, eventually losing touch.
Grayson stepped into the big bad world and rocked it to its core, he took everything the world had to give and dished it back tenfold, reaching heights that he could never have imagined as a child.
Kennedy settled for living what would have normally been considered an average life. Doing what we all do, dealing with the hurdles that life throws at you and making good with what you have and living with opportunities missed but life choices accepted.
I got the book, I understood the decisions that were made and I felt for the pair of them, but when the secrets that they both had surfaced and the intensity between them reached fever pitch I was a blubbering mess.
It is difficult to put into words the depth to which I had to delve in order to finish what I have to say was a sensationally emotional book. I was so angry at what they were having to deal with but I also saw that through this they were gradually being brought back together.
But could and would they survive or was this reunion destined to be short lived?
That my friend you will have to find out for yourself.
I liked both Grayson and Kennedy and between them I would be unable to select a favourite character, they were strong and resourceful but more than that they were realistic.
Oh, by the way – a word of warning – watch out for the ending – took my breath away!

5 out of 5 stars for Stacey Lynn Just One Regret

I've always loved books from this author. I loved her Nordic Lords MC series, so when offered the chance to have ARC copy of Just one regret I took it, and it isn't one of my regrets.

Stacey takes us straight into an intriguing story line with an stormy background and a lot of curiosity.

I became hooked from the first chapter and just couldn't put it down.

A second chance romance full of curiosity, intrigue, love, friendship, passion, pain, anger, resentment, secrets, heartbreak, understanding, and forgiveness.

It's an emotional roller coaster of being happy for the couple one minute and silently sobbing for them the next.

The connection to the characters is immediate and you connect with the twins and Sarah also. I would love hear more from them.

While I love Kennedy and Grayson there were times when my anger at them overrode my emotions and i would shout at my kindle for them to sort themselves out.

You will feel a collections of emotions while reading this book. Evoking emotions is the reason for Stacey Lynn being a favorite author of mine.

She has perfected the skill of writing just enough in each chapter to keep you needing to read to the next one that very minute, regardless that it's one in the morning and your starting a twelve hour shift at seven thirty am.

I have mixed emotions about the ending, but that's just my point of view and it wasn't that the ending was bad, it was that i wanted more!!!

Highly recommended!!!

Totally worth the read, so try it, it won't be your One Regret!!!
