Justin is a player, Sloane is his sisters best friend how has always wanted him. Justin finds out she is inexperienced and so does his best to stay away (even his sister and Dad have threatened him to stay away) but he can't.

Story of will he or won't he which got a bit tedious after a while - it was very obvious what was going to happen.

This book reads like it was written by a young teenage girl. The characters, who are both in their 20's both act like they were 13 or 14. Neither of them made me care for them at all. Justin in particular is written like he is a teenage boy in how he treats Sloane and women in general. Add to that his controlling attitude then Sloane would be better off without him. Frankly I will not be reading any more of this series and may not read any more books by this writer.

C C Cartwright can write much better than this. This is part of a story I guess to encourage readers to buy the other books to find what happens next. To be honest I found Sloane and Justin pretty boring, juvenile and I couldn't care less what happens to them.

If you are into books where an experienced man decides he can't keep his hands off his younger sister's virginal best friend, this might be for you. It's not for me though.

Sorry, I didn't like this book. Essentially it is about an older brother who is a real player trying (not too hard) to resist his younger sister's virginal friend without much success, while she flirts and tempts and pushes him, knowing he is all wrong for her. Because all you get is tease, then run away from her; and give in and get her all worked up, then pull away at the last minute from him, it quickly becomes dull and repetitive. I didn't like either of these people - they apparently have no morals or self-respect.

Justin is a total player, always gets what & who he wants. Sloane is completely innocent but has had a crush on Justin ever since she was a young teenager. They meet again at the beach and he is instantly attracted to her. I won't spoil it but needless to say that it's a great read.

This was the first book I had read by C.C. Cartwright, although it is part of a series i read it as a standalone book and there were no cliff hangers. This book focuses on the relationship with Justin and an old school friend of his younger sister, Sloane. Justin is a player and it was great to be able to feel the emotion and the changes in him throughout the book. A great story and well written.
