A really great read. In today's media managed world where the words, both written and verbal, have to comply with the rules of what to say and what not to say it was refreshing to read something from a very different era. John Lyall in his own words. This book has been the source of reliable information to so many other biographies. Some very surprising details in here especially his relationship with certain other managers.

As a big West Ham fan it was great but I'm sure fans of other clubs would love to read this too.
