I fairly skipped through this book, and had a wonderful time, as I did. Anna is one of those characters that you can really relate to, and is totally endearing - despite - or perhaps because of - some of her quirks. She has a great group of friends, and it is through one those friends that she meets the Divine Dominic - our (utterly gorgeous), and saintly hero.
This is a wonderful boy meets girl tale, which is told deftly and with great humour by Emma Marlow. I found myself smiling a lot, and even laughing out loud - which is not something I often do when reading.
I hope that this Not too cliched a comparison, but I would compare book (and the series of 3) very favourably to Bridget Jones. If you like your romance modern, VERY funny, a little irreverent, with a relatable heroine and a super sexy hero (who just happens to be a vicar), then this one is for you.
And it's made even better by the fact that there are another two Anna and Dominic books in the Just Kissing series. Don't get me wrong, the ending does not disappoint, but because of how good the writing is, I couldn't get enough of Anna and Dominic. I bought the remaining two books in the series without hesitation, and if anything each successive book was even better than the first.
Read a couple of pages and deleted it, probably my mistake in buying the wrong book. I usually go for clean/inspirational/religious romance and not sure how I wound up with this one but its none of those.
