This is the 3rd book in The Illusion series so if you haven't read Just an Illusion sides A & B I would highly recommend you start on A and work through the tracks.
Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions, EP is jam packed with feelings and hot sex.
EP kicks off with Amelia writing to a deadline all about what leads to the present day, but her hand has been forced, she has 72 hrs to make a massive life decision. But who is forcing her to make a choice?
That fateful night when everything changed for the BAD members has had a massive impact on all their lives and life is hitting some of them harder than others. Amelia finds out a lot of hidden secrets along the way that have lead her to where she is now. The heart and her head just need to be in tune with each other to come to the right conclusion.
Will fate give Amelia an HEA?
But thankfully we won't be saying goodbye to the Weston's completely. Yes, *happy dance* there's going to be a book 4 Unplugged which will give MR. Weston's POV.
I started this as soon as I finished book 2 - it was late at night and I read until 2.30am before deciding I had to go to bed! The feels in this book - there are books that give you the lump in the throat and stinging at the backs of the eyes and then there are books that make the tears flow - this was the later - the tears flowed and flowed. The author rightly states at the beginning that tissues, wine and chocolate are needed and she is right.
I sort of guessed what might happen at the end of book 2 but this did not stop my heart from breaking. The author redeemed herself with the ending - but I still wanted more lol! Love all the characters in this series and would love more books!
I’m beyond words! There aren’t enough stars to give this book or Dee Kelly! I don’t think a book has ever made me this emotional! She does warn her readers at the beginning. She is NOT JOKING!!!! The story picks up right where the last one left off! This review will not be long at all. I don’t won’t to spoil anything for those who haven’t read this AWESOME series! Just know her characters will be irrevocably changed. It will not be an easy road to who they become, but it is worth every tear I shed. Kelly really taps into the emotions of her characters and made me feel every one. It was hard at times to read this one, but I made it through it with my heart pieced back together.
I have been a fan of D. Kelly’s for quite some time now. One of the things I most respect about her is that she writes outside of the box. Yes, her romances are sexy, steamy, and sweet! But, her HEA’s aren’t always what I had envisioned when I began the series. However, they make sense. It may be a long journey to the end, but I never regret the paths, filled with twists and turns, to get me there. She has always impressed and awed me with her talent, but this one takes the cake. It not simply a story; it’s so much more! It’s my favorite by far! Awesome job, D!!!

Even if it did break my heart again and again and again. I just about cried solidly for the first half of the book, then when I started to think things were getting easier my heart was torn out again! I'm not sure whether I love or hate D. Kelly after reading this book. Through both Book 1 and 2 I'd had a feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Wow that was NOT the dropped shoe I was expecting.
I actually read all three books one after the other, including reading Book 2 into the early hours of Monday morning just to finish it. Of course if you've read Book 2 (which you will need to do this is NOT a stand alone book) you'll know why I couldn't resist starting this Book. Thankfully I only read a short way in (to the helicopters) before needing at least 4 hours of sleep before work made me put it down. If I had read much further I would have been so caught up in the story I would have got no sleep.
I found all three books just held me gripped in that way that means once you start reading you don't want to put the book down. There are some unexpected twists and turns in this book a few 'eerie' happenings and a lot of Noah's belief in Fate. The book carries a warning to have wine, tissues and chocolate to hand - this is not a joke it's a necessity. I got some strange looks as I read some of this in public and was having a hard time not dissolving into a blubbering heap.
It's difficult to talk about the characters without revealing spoilers so I will just say that we learn more and more about Mel and the guys from BAD. We see journeys of strength, of learning, of healing and forgiveness. It's not a short book and yet it kept me gripped from start to finish.Read more ›
