As I type this review I still have tears in my eyes and struggling a bit to see what I'm typing! So I'm sorry for any mistakes I might make in doing this. Poor Mia! What more hell can this poor beautiful kind sweet woman go through?! Audrey Carlan has an amazing talent that takes the reader(that's me!) along on the Journey of the main character making me feel as though I'm right there with Mia and even seem to care about this fictional character! This woman has been through so much in her young years and made to grow up far to quickly. I truly hope that at the end of this Journey Mia has to take that Wes will be there to catch her in his arms and give her the love she so desperately needs from him. She loves him and it's killing her inside knowing he's sleeping with someone, a beautiful actress deemed the most beautiful woman in the world. Even though they agreed to just stay friends with benefits they both are struggling to keep the connection knowing they are unable to be loyal to each other while Mia earns the million pounds debt to save her beloved father and sister. She's meeting so many good kind people who are the forever type of friends and family and they all make sure she knows they are there if ever the need arises like it did with Tai and Mason and Rachel who all are there for her after she is sexually assaulted almost raped and left bruised and battered. I'm looking forward to the rest of her Journey ❤️

....has been the best month so far (though this is the month where trauma takes place so feels a bit wrong saying its the best 😕)....

I've moaned a few times about Mia jumping from one bed to the next whilst pining after Wes, but this story is more heartfelt, towards the end you realise how much she has been through: she's had to look after her baby sister since the age of eleven because her mum just took off, she's had to keep bailing her alcoholic father out more times than enough - more so this whole year is because of him!

But it shows that family are not only blood relations, friends are the family you pick and Mia has picked some fantastic ones! Tai and Mason come to her rescue no questions asked, thats true family.

Horrific what happens to her and can't help but feel for all involved - bar Aaron, he deserves so much more than Mason delivered, pity tai didn't get hold of him!!

Anyways....fab month!!

July has been the best so far. I had to re-read the last chapters as couldn't see clearly for the tears.
I was wondering when things might go wrong, I am glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been but the danger is always there.
Some of Mia's past client s have become valuable friends that can be relied n and trusted. Looking forward to see how many more initials are added to the beautiful tattoo and also what the next lesson Mia will learn with her Latino luv-ahh.

Ok so I think I made the mistake of picking an ARC from a series rather than a standalone novel. Easily done but did feel that it made it harder to get into the back story of why Mia is doing what she is doing, what her character is really about and what she has gone through already.

So you have Mia who is working as an escort for her aunts company to pay off a debt her father owes or he will be killed. This month’s instalment saw her travel to Washington to pretend to be the arm-candy of the very wealthy Warren Shipley to help him fit in with some of his peers to help get a project off the ground. It seems like an easy enough job to do and while she is there she thinks she could easily pass the time with the man’s son Aaron. Now he came off as a bit smarmy to begin with, knowing he looks good and feeling very privileged thinking that he can get whatever he wants. This all changes at the end of the book however where all you want to do his beat him up along with Mason for what he does to Mia.

Throughout the story you have Mia connecting with some of the men she has been with in the passed months but focusing mainly on Wes – love the saucy texts between them! I think he is the one guy she could see herself with but is too scared to go forward with it – not that she really can with how this year is all planned out. She seems to still have a very close relationship with all the men she has ‘helped’ for the past months and you can see that they will be friends/family for life.

The only issue I had was with what Mia goes through at the end of the book, as I’m not really sure how she can continue with being an escort after it happens.
