'Baking expert, mumpreneur and food writer Juliet is mum to three busy teenagers and founder of Fancy Nancy bakery in Leigh-on-sea, Essex. Juliet is one of the UK's leading baking specialists.
She has always been incredibly passionate about food, cooking with her mum from a very young age and is a keen family cook. She began baking and cake making for her son George's first birthday party and instantly caught the bug for cake decorating.
She also increased her knowledge and skills by taking courses at Le Cordon Bleu, Squires International Bakery school and gained experience from spending time at Choccywoccydoodah in Brighton and eventually secured a job in one of London's leading cake makers for 18 months where she honed her skills making hundreds of exciting cakes. Eventually Juliet developed her own unique style and set up Fancy Nancy in her home town from a home studio and was so busy that she moved into a shop within two years.
She is a published author, teacher and TV guest and is also supplier to Harvey Nichols and Royal grocer; Fortnum and Mason. Her high impact, original designs are popular with celebrities including Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby, Sir Ian McKellen, Bob Geldof, Bryan Adams, McFLY, Marilyn Manson, Nick Grimshaw Dizzee Rascal and many others.
Her cakes have also appeared on film and TV programmes for Channel 4, BBC, ITV and Sky, and featured by a wide range of international magazines. She creates recipes and cake designs for various magazines and works on corporate recipe development, online video tutorials with Bakingmad.com , Dr Oetker, Renshaw and most recently has become the U.K. Ambassador for Cake Boss. Additionally she works on creative projects for Edible Art installations and is the world's first social media baker for Cravendale to support the Barry the Biscuit campaign with Weiden+Kennedy.
Juliet appeared as the baking expert on channel 5's Live With Gabby Cake Club and has made many live TV appearances on QVC, Channel 4 (including Sunday Brunch, showing viewers 'how to' bake and decorate delicious baked seasonal goodies with Kelly Clarkson, Rhod Gilbert and Tim Lovejoy).
