Julie lives by the sea in north east England, and is a qualified accountant with 30+ years' experience in local authority education and children's services, including 10 years as an Assistant Director. She now offers consultancy services in education funding, to help schools and local authorities achieve value for money, and is a conference speaker.
Together with Nikola Flint, a School Business Leader, Julie co-authors non-fiction on school finance and funding under the imprint School Financial Success Publications. They blog at https://schoolfinancialsuccess.com on current issues, and provide a regular newsletter with news and views on school funding to those who subscribe via the website.
Julie also writes in local history, historical fiction and women's fiction genres. She began in 2012, inspired by a love of local and family history. Who were the people of her local church, who had given the stained glass memorial windows, furniture and silverware? 'Portrait of a Seaside Parish: Holy Trinity Seaton Carew' was written to help to raise money for restoration of the church's stonework.
