Quite watchable but something is amiss. Judge Judy is one clever lady though.Entertaining show. Something is missing but it's hard to put your finger on what it is. The cases are varied and its always amusing to see people changing their stories about ten times in court. Judy is one very clever cookie who clearly knows the legal system through and through. Even after all these years you can't believe how stupid and gullible some people are though. Not sure about the court helpers they don't really add anything to the show. A reasonable start and it will be interesting to see how the programme develops over time.

A fresh take on a well known dish!I love it! I absolutely love it! I love the chambers chat, where discussions take place, a bit of a dip into the law and an explanation as to why decisions are made, and sometimes decisions are challenged and fed back based on a modern interpretation of the law.
What it shows is why there is such disparity in judicial decisions, especially when a judge is younger.

Great casual viewingI'm not very familiar with the previous show, so the change in staff is inconsequential to me. Judy is still the star, does a great job, and I've learned a lot of little things that are relevant to my own life and work. Nice to see the contemporary nature of Covid-era issues too, even if I'm not living in the American context it all seems quite relatable. Great choice, Amazon, far better than some of the other misfires that have been commissioned and I'll keep being one of the 'tens of millions' of viewers that Judy is hoping for :)

Give it a chanceI've done a complete 180 on this. Initially loathed it but have since re-visited and really enjoy now. Mainly because the cases are more interesting (I was getting bored with "It was a gift.... no it wasn't, it was a loan." stich from the old show), but also the Granddaughter's role has more value than I originally thought.

Too shouty and angryIs it me or has Judge Judy become way too shouty and quick to yell. I appreciate that is what she is known for but I miss the days when she took the time to explain the case vs jumping to a conclusion and simply yelling. `I get the sense she is bored with this or lost her way.
