This is a very nice app that views extremely well on my Kindle Fire. It is thoughtfully presented and has some very nice features that I believe makes it well worth $3.99. The guide presents approximately 50 different stitches and, as the description clearly states, they are more advanced stitches that would not be suitable for a true beginner, but provide a very nice reference for anyone into Crazy Quilting and/or Dimensional Embroidery. Each stitch begins with a close-up photograph of the completed stitch and then switches to excellent graphics that include narrative text to provide a step-by-step guide to forming the stitch. The app also includes a selection of videos that are well-made and very helpful. I recommend this app to anyone who enjoys needle work and would like to have a handy reference available without having to carry around a printed book.
This is a great reference for embroidery. I really enjoyed volume 1, so I also purchased this application for my smart phone. Often I take handwork projects with me to work on when I get stuck waiting somewhere.I like the fact that I can access this as I need it and not have to take extra"stuff" with me. Instructions are clear and the videos are helpful.
I would love to give this app 5 stars because the instructions are excellent but I am giving it 3 stars because despite everything I have tried, the video appears on the screen of my phone (samsung galaxy note 3) as a miniscule 1 inch by.75 inch. This is very disappointing, and if anyone can help, I would love to hear from you.
I down loaded her book on my kindle hdx 7 . it has the video on it really clear and nice and the stitch patterns are so big i i t is easy to see everything on my kindle color's is good . i am really happy to have them handy . I got her book from Amazon.
