About the Author

Duane Swierczynski is the author of several crime thrillers, including the the Shamus Award-winning Fun and Games, the first in the Charlie Hardie series published by Mulholland Books, as well as the Edgar-nominated and Anthony Award-winning Expiration Date. Many of these books are currently in development for film and TV. He currently writes the IDW series Judge Dredd, the Valiant Comics series Bloodshot, the forthcoming Dark Horse series X, and has written about the Punisher, Birds of Prey, Godzilla, Cable, the Immortal Iron Fist, Werewolf By Night, Black Widow and Deadpool. Duane has also collaborated with CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker on a series of bestselling “digi-novels” which include Level 26: Dark Origins, Dark Prophecy, and Dark Revelations.
In a previous life, Duane was the editor-in-chief of the Philadelphia City Paper, and has worked as an editor and writer at Men's Health, Details, and Philadelphiamagazines. In a previous, previous life, Duane, then known as "Cliff Dohower," died of tuberculosis in Wisconsin in 1957.

Duane Swierczynski is the New York Times bestselling and two-time Edgar-nominated author of fifteen novels including Expiration Date, Canary and the forthcoming California Bear, as well as the graphic novels Breakneck and Redhead. Along with James Patterson, Duane co-created the Audible Original The Guilty, starring John Lithgow and Bryce Dallas Howard, and co-wrote the private eye thriller Lion & Lamb. He’s also written over 250 comic books including Cable, Deadpool, The Immortal Iron Fist, Punisher, Birds of Prey, Bloodshot, Star Wars: Rogue One and The Black Hood. His first short story collection, Lush & Other Tales of Boozy Mayhem, was recently published by Cimarron Street Books. A native Philadelphian, Duane now lives in Southern California with his family.

Judge Dredd Volume 3 continues the storyline from 2 with a vengeance. Not once did I have the desire to take a break from the story, and was disappointed when I hit the back cover. Duane Swierczynski captures the heart of the classic while giving Dredd a modern feel with a master's touch. I highly recommend this series for any Dredd fan, old or new.

Die Story ist ganz gut (kommt aber nicht an die Originale von 2000AD ran). Die Auflösung und Lesbarkeit auf dem Tablet (Samsung NotePro 12.2) ist im Prinzip recht gut, aber:
einige Seiten sind im Querformat abgebildet und lassen sich nicht drehen. Da auch ein Vergrössern der Seiten nicht geht kann man diese Seiten nicht lesen und den Text allenfalls erraten. Deswegen nur 2 Sterne.
Dies gilt für alle Comics die ich bisher mit dem Kindle Reader auf dem Tablet gelesen habe.

It is kind a like a Good Dredd storyline. The typical off to save the MC1 and the Judge gets sidetracked. Wild characters and even old enemies but not enough to hit all the right storylines of A.D. 2000. IDW can have the props of giving an American Dredd, but just shy of that true Judge Dredd.
