The tin is very well constructed (heavy duty and non-stick), I sprayed mine with some oil and when the cakes were cool just twisted them a little to get them to pop out very easily as it's not quite as easy to remove them as with a conventional bun tin because of the doughnut holes.
The web is chuck full of lovely recipes for baked doughnuts so do a bit of googling for some ideas if you are not sure what to make.
I have now ordered a larger tin too so will pop a review of these on when it arrives.Wilton 6 Cavity Donut Pan
But you can cover them with melted chocolate/icing, be creative. And you can get a mini doughnut hit without anywhere near the calories/saturated fat.
But they are not, nor never will be, like deep fried doughnuts.
However, the tin is excellent as long as you understand that. The non stick-ness doesn't flake off, like it did on my tin from Lakeland. I still grease this tin but the doughnuts come out pretty easily (note they don't really shake out, you have to lift them, but they come out easily).
Only issue is the moulds are very small, smaller than I'd have liked (for reference the mini-bagels made were much smaller than the mini-bagels sold by the New York Bagel Co. in supermarkets).
Still, very happy with this product+delivery.

I used this to make baked doughnuts and it was perfect! The doughnuts held shape, came out perfectly, and were so adorably tiny! Absolutely love it!Published 15 months ago by Faz
