Like William Bloom's almost-classic 'The Endorphin Effect'', Tarthang Tulku's book, 'The Joy of Being' sets out to present self-help solutions for dealing with life's ongoing stresses and complex emotions. Both books draw on wisdom traditions without being overtly religious, and both present their ideas in simple, straightforward ways.

'The Joy of Being' contains physical exercises, and guidance on how to meditate in order to develop ways to feel less pain and stress for more moments in the day. Large print, nicely spaced pages, illustrations for the physical exercises: - nice book, fast delivery from Amazon as usual, recommended.

If you want a holistic system for your well being, health and just keeping sane in a world gone mad. This is a book I would recommend with its sister or brother book.
