Product description

About the Author

Janet was grammar school educated, specializing in languages. She was also School Captain. For relaxation, Janet enjoyed dancing, art, tennis and swimming, holding the school breast-stroke record. Even 6 years ago, she swam a nifty sponsored mile to raise money for sick friends. (Not recommended until fit). She took to shorthand/typing like a duck to water as a private secretary at the London Guinness Brewery for 7 years (no computers!) After a stressful period in later life, Janet caught a mild, sneezy cold. It was on her birthday, the day her father died. That was all it took to trigger long-term chronic M.E. There was not much help and support in 1988. Though extremely ill, she started collecting information, which rapidly grew, and turned into a book 10 years later. A Helping Hand through M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was well received nearly 8 years ago. Now she has completed The Journey through M.E. - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in easy-to-read, low-tech, practical A-Z format with new information. This book has been written by someone who has been through it all, understands, and come out the other side - smiling! Janet would now like to share her knowledge with you. Readers' comments: 'An excellent book' 'Clear commonsense approach' 'You do make easy reading' 'It is my bible - I keep it by my bed' 'It is the best book I ever read - it is the only one I can understand' Janet's favourite quote: 'If only I had known at the onset what I know now!' She also has 10 years' support group work to her credit.
