Great book, used it for a lesson with Y4 to discuss humans impact on the environment. Really leaves room for discussion and is fantastic as a starter to develop empathy. Good buy!

My 4-year-old relly loves this book! It is a serious book and there are lots of conversations to be had as you read through it, but it makes a welcome change from galloping through a funny or repetitious picture book. My son really 'gets' the message and as an animal lover he is determined that he is going to save the animals. The illustrations are incredibly beautiful. A book to sit down with your kids and take your time over.

Such a wonderful, well-thought and inspiring book! My son absolutely loves the illustrations and has chosen the polar bear as his favourite character (for this week anyway!). He's only two, so doesn't quite get the full meaning of the story yet, but I plan to read this to him over the coming years and let him grow with the story. Such an important message and done with a wonderful sense of hope and promise. The Journey Home

My baby daughter loves the beautiful pictures of the aninmals in this book. Although she is rather too young to get the message of the book just yet but as she loves having it read to her and so that should follow. And she even recognised the dodo when she saw a stuffed one at the Horniman Museum.

Not only is this a beautiful book with really lovely illustrations, it has a message that you don't often see in children's books. It is a great book to help explain global warming and environmental issues to children. I can't wait to see what Frann publishes next - a very exciting author!
