Product Description

Product Description

Stainless-steel garlic crusher. The stylish design of this garlic crusher makes this messy task much easier. By using downward pressure and a ‘rocking’ motion it crushes garlic cloves quickly and evenly, forcing the pieces up through the mesh of holes.

Once crushed, the garlic pieces are held in the shallow bowl, allowing them to be spooned or scraped easily into a pan. Additional cloves can also be crushed at this stage before emptying.

When finished, the unit can be rinsed under running water and used to gently rub the hands and fingers to reduce any garlic odour (stainless steel is thought to remove the strong odours left from handling garlic).

Having spent a small fortune on various garlic crushers over the years - at last one that does the job without having to read the instructions every time or spend ages washing it afterwards. Having arthritic hands it has been a job that got more difficult over time but this is simple but affective every time. Fully recommend it.

This is the best new kitchen gadget in a long while. It does the job well and is very easy to clean. Such a simple idea - highly recommended

Received this item a couple of days ago and so have only used it once, so far. However, I am sure it will become my garlic crusher of choice as it was easy to use and clean. Not only was the rocker larger than I thought it would be (approx. 7 inches long), the holes were bigger than I imagined.

This device does crush garlic fairly effectively, especially if you put the garlic through it twice. It's good and sturdy too - nice thick stainess steel, which should last for a very long time. Just a couple of negative points: it's best used on a hard surface - if you use a polythene-type chopping board, some of the garlic will be left (squished flat) underneath; and, because it's made of fairly thick stainess steel, some garlic gets left in the wee holes and needs bashed or poked out with a pin-type thing.

This pretty design sucked me in with great promise. The aesthetics are smashing. The ergonomics are fine. Unfortunately The results are poor. This device creates pellets of garlic that are way too big and because of the thickness of the steel it leaves half a clove stuck in the hexagonal cutting surface. I really wanted this to be a Rolls-Royce it just does not live up to the price.
iin summary; the blades are not really sharp enough and the holes are too big it is easy to clean and it does look pretty.

Brilliant in its simplicity. Works effectively and easily on dried garlic (i.e. the sort sourced from most food stores in the UK), but fresh garlic (i.e. straight from the ground) needs to be sliced thickly before hand - this shouldn't be a problem because you need a knife to peel the garlic in the first place. It also presses root ginger well, so is an excellent aid to curry makers.

I'm very happy with this. I found it easier to clean and store than a normal garlic crusher. The sensible design means it's less effort (as you're utilizing the weight of your arms rather than clenching your hand. Also can be used instead of a pestle and mortar (perfect for crushing peppercorns).

It does leave the garlic in larger chunks than traditional crushers on first go, but it's easy to simply go over them twice. The holes are shaped like honeycomb, and bits sometimes stay in there after crushing but it takes very little time/effort to remove them (tap or poke with a fork). Overall, a definite improvement on my traditional garlic crusher.

I have been really pleased with this garlic rocker and much prefer it to my traditional garlic press. You can rock all of the garlic through the holes without leaving behind that horrible meshed sheet that you have to pick out of a traditional press, or rerpress the bits that have ridden up the sides. It's easy to clean and most of the time any remaining bits of garlic that you haven't scooped out fall off under a running tap and only on occasion do you have to fiddle around with a fork end or knife to eject garlic stuck in a hole. The shape of the rocker means that the crushed garlic is easily held on the rocker and doesn't drop off when transporting to the wok etc, and it is easily stored in the drawer taking up little space. My only criticism is that i normally have to do one clove of galic at a time and would prefer to be a able to do two, although in this respect i guess no different from most standard garlic presses. Well made and dishwasher friendly.
