I was given this book for my honest review.
“Every life has its challenges. No life is perfect. Yet, your remaining years with your family, your husband, your children, your grand-children, your friends, and those you treat will be overwhelmingly good. You’ll be content and have purpose, and so will your husband.” Pulling her to him again, he said, “I love you Jordan. I’ll see you and all the others I love who still live someday. Jordan’s grandfather says it best in this amazing yet conqestial quote.
I invite you to take a journey with me as I did these wondrous of characters back to a time where horses, knights, kings and queens were of the norm. This book is on another planet/alternate world. Where sorcerers were a fear of most but in the end they became the eyes and ears to our futuristic selves. Jordan’s true journey begins with the above said quote that her wise grandfather said to her under a tree. Keep the quote in the back of your mind for each word that you read will make the true meaning more evident and earth quaking.
To the author: Time and time again we all read books that bring us from the past to the future when in reality the book centers on one time just as this book does but for that the reader must pay close attention to foresee the future is to live in the past and current at the exact same time. Your eyes not only hold the gateway but a path to ones heart.
“If you’re cut, then you’ll bleed the same blood as this girl here or me. Your station is more important, but your life itself is not.”
“Each person has his or her strengths and weaknesses. Yours make you a precious gift, not only to your husband but to every life you touch.”
Jordan’s Way continued the intriguing fantasy/paranormal/romance/adventure started in The Healer’s Gift, with the healer’s youngest daughter Jordan taking over as the main character. Their kingdom is at war so the story is more active and volatile with wounds, battles, attacks, betrayals, kidnappings, murders, deaths and all varieties of illnesses for the ever feisty yet compassionate young healer to handle. She is also traveling around to battle sites treating wounded soldiers, searching for a missing child behind enemy lines, and trying her hand at being in a relationship and finding love for the first time. Busy girl! I enjoyed and was greatly relieved by the progressive nature of the story for a historical romance, as Jordan is spunky, independent, respected, and revered for her unique talents and gifts. Ms. Cutrera has not only created a unique and engaging tale out of thin air, she has created an entire world with two moons, warring kingdoms, and conniving and oddly demented royals. The story line moved quickly yet was easy to follow and remained unfailingly entertaining.
Paranormal is my favourite genre, but that doesn’t mean all books in this genre are good. I’m still picky, and I’m pleased to say I loved this book. One of the things I love about paranormal is that there are no rules. I can escape to a place that doesn’t exist except in the author’s imagination as well as mine.
I loved the characters. Of course, Jordan was my favourite. I love a strong woman, especially when a ‘strong woman’ is not the norm. I loved Noah, the king’s bastard son. And yes, he was the perfect match for Jordan. Apart, I loved these characters. Together, they were even better.
I was actually a little bit sad when I finished this book. I was sad it was finished and I really hope there is going to be more in this series. I know I’ll be reading it.

The drama and heartbreak is so real. There is happiness but also much sorrow. There are many wrongs along with attempts to make them right. There is betrayal and unwavering devotion.
So many emotions in this book. Jordan's Way is a fantastic read! You did a wonderful job, Ms Cutrera!!
