Jon Stasiak was born in the North east of England. After graduating from the University of Huddersfield with a Degree in Fine Art, he moved to the picturesque island of Jersey where he began to write.
Jon has just published his first novel Standing in the Shadows, which is a psychological thriller following photographer Tom Nowak, as he tries to solve a series of brutal murders.
In addition to completing Standing in the Shadows, Jon has recently co-edited and contributed to 'Once upon an island' - which is a collection of fictional stories offering a glimpse into Jersey's history and the people who have lived it. The collaboration was written by members of Jersey Writers of which Jon is also a member. 25% of the profits from the book will go to Jersey Heritage to help preserve the island's unique history.
Jon's work has also been included in the Channel Islands anthology; Rising Tides, which is a collection of stories and poems by Channel Islands' writers, with all proceeds made from the sale shared between Jersey and Guernsey Women's Refuges.
In addition to the above, Jon has released several short stories which are all available for kindle.
