A good bright account of a man who became a better manager than perhaps people realise.

The only down side to the book is the relative short length. Big Fat Sam would do well to read and digest a manager he has succeeded.

Although I found this an interesting book, especially being a WHU supporter, I did not think it went into enough detail on the football side. What a Manager John Lyall was though, none of his ilk these days!

A brief insight into a great man. His early death is unjust and the way the club treated a loyal servant is not the club we all fell in love with.
