I have tried several products on my hair to try and bring back some of its volume and sheen, but so far nothing had worked, so when I saw that John Frieda had a Full Repair shampoo ( that is very reasonably priced) I thought I would give it a try.
I am soooo very glad I did it is a wonderful product - I am 63 my hair is starting to thin, and lose is gloss. The first time I used it I was amazed at how rich it felt on my hair - after the wash I let my hair dry naturally to see what results I got, and I wasn't disappointed. My hair felt soft, had volume and a wonderful shine.

I have used it several times and my hair looks great after - and inbetween - each wash. I have bought more of the same shampoo and will be buying other products from this range - I definitely recommend it.

This seems to work very well with older thinning hair. It is also very efficient as a little seems to go a long way, with just a pea sized drop being sufficient for a good cleansing lather on a normal head of shortish hair in soft water. This is about a quarter as much product used compared with some of the slightly cheaper competitors.

However, the big bonus is that (at the time of writing) it does not contain Methyl-Isothiazolinone (MI) a powerful preservative which is also a significantly strong irritant for people with sensitive skin. MI is also an active ingredient in the Anti-Fouling paint used to dissuade barnacles from growing on ships. Several major companies (but not enough) are now withdrawing or reformulating their products which previously contained MI and also the Benzyl- variant. Watchdog on the BBC did a major item exposing MI for all the skin damage it can cause on us.

Abandoning fabric conditioners (most have MI and/or BI) to use tumbler balls instead in the clothes dryer, and changing to this shampoo quickly solved a lot of allergy problems for our family.

I'm not usually a fan of John Frieda products, but thought I 'd give this a try as I have fine hair which can go very flat. I have oily roots but dry and sensitised ends.

This is really good - it really does help build volume and fullness, doesn't weigh hair down, and gives a softness and better condition to the ends. On subscribe and save it's a good price too.

Good shampoo that cleanses and prepares for conditioner. Unlike other shampoos it does not leave my curly hair feeling like straw. My current favourite but I have no evidence that it actually repairs my dyed hair. I suspect that any John Frieda shampoo would be about the same.

This made my hair look soft and shiny. However, I have found Toni & Guy damaged hair shampoo/conditioner much more effective for keeping hair looking neat throughout the day. With the John Frieda products, my hair is still very fly-away and messes up easily.

I loved it, I have color treated hair, curly and so is very dry. This product left my hair very soft, looking well treated and revived the color. I want to buy back

I decided to try this brand after a friend of mine recommend it. My hair is what I would call "undefined" (long, not completely curly, definitely not straight, a bit wavy in some parts) and thick, but one thing is true: it truly needs repair. When I was younger I didn't use to pay much attention to it, just used some common shampoos and conditioners and once in a while I would apply some hair mascara. However, nowadays I'm often straightening and curling it, so I can't just keep acting like before. When I first used this shampoo (together with the conditioner) I couldn't believe how soft and not frizzy my hair was. And it was just one application! The smell is also great! It's just a shame it contains only 250ml, but once John Frieda is a great and well recommended brand, it's understandable. In the end, the price is even good. You have enough product to try before decide to keep buying it. Honestly, I'm the type of person (with a sad and damaged hair) who tried many, many brands of hair products in this life, but after trying this one, I couldn't recommend it more!

This is a fantastic product for chemically treated, thin, fine hair. It is such a shame that it is impossible to buy in stores now. I can only assume it will soon be discontinued. Get it while you can.
