This book offers an excellent editorial by Peterson. In his notes, Peterson offers great translations, insights, and cross-references as appropriate. As the source of the Bonorum, Dee's version of the Sigillum Aemeth, and the Holy Table, it is an interesting read for those engaged with Dee's work. The purist and the neo-Enochian practitioner will find useful elements here, as will a historian.
The reviews on amazon.com tell all: This book is simply brilliant, the editing superb and thoughtful. Peterson has done a wonderful job, and anybody interested in Enochian or John Dee will have to read (and admire) this superb book.
The publisher - Red Wheel Weiser - have really outdone themselves this time round. The quality of the product is an atrocity! If you are familiar with the cheap, print-on-demand books by Lulu, then you will know what is awaiting you here: Lulu quality (i.e very cheap paperback). It is simply awful quality - and they're asking 40 quid for this rubbish - unbelievable!!!
Unfortunately, the contents, as well as the scholarship of the editor are so fantastic that you will have to get this book. What a pity that the first ever publication of this superb collection of libri should be published by a company having no interest in quality whatsoever! Weiser publish occult works and as such ought to know that the worship of Mammon is unbefitting.
Get this book! But buy it second hand. Do not give your money to this greedy publisher!
