Got this for my 8 year old daughter. Out of all her birthday presents, this is what she loves most!!! Mind you, she loves art and activities involving making things. There are knitting needles with instructions on how to knit; a flower maker - whereby you wind the wool across the pegs in a certain way until you have a flower shape, a french knitting tool and (blunt) needle and also a pom pom maker. The pom pom maker is good - you make the pom pom in halves, then put it together to make a circle - no threading wool through a hole as we used to do (just winding it around a semi-circle - so making them is quick and easy. Pom pom maker looks like it could break if you don't treat it properly. Not much wool is included in the pack, but that's something you can go any buy yourself and get what colours you want. Lovely present for little people who like making things.

I mainly bought this because we wanted to make yarn flowers using the loom, which seem to be pretty hard to get by. There is plenty in this kit, quite a bit of yarn, a french kniter, pom-pom maker, large plastic needle and some (flimsy) plastic knitting needles. Not bad for the price it was.

My niece has just had her seventh birthday and she asked if I could get her a learn how to knit kit. I wanted it to be of good quality as I wanted to teach her. The kit is a very good one and I was very happy with the quality but what I must say is that I think they need to higher the age group. I thought that although the pom pom was a good idea I still think it was easier to teach her the old system we had with cardboard. We could make any size we wanted. The one in the box was only for very small pom poms and very fidgity to use. As for learning to knit she keeps telling me she is too young to learn yet. What a girl though lol.

Having made wool balls and creatures as a child, using a cardboard template, I thought my grandchildren would love this. I tried it with them and found it so fiddly I resorted to the cardboard method. It is a waste of money.

fast postage and well wrapped, very pleased with it.
Eight year old niece who was very much into craft loved this but the needles were very small and flimsy.
My 6 year old daughter really likes this and was kept entertained all of Christmas! A lovely introduction to knitting and other wool activities.
Plenty to do for little girls. Keeps there interest for ages. What fun making the bobbles or trying to knit something for your favourite dolly. Excellent purchase.
This was for my granddaughter as she has been wanting to learn to knit for a long time. I am sure she will enjoy using this gift and be quite creative with it.Read more
