First, a disclosure - Dr Hiten Vyas sent me a review copy of the book.

I am very impressed with it. The author has taken some quite advanced interventions from NLP, neuro-semantics and (I think) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and broken them down into simple, doable self-help exercises. Even more impressively, he's done it without a word of jargon!

The book is attractively produced, flab-free (getting pretty much straight into the self-help exercises) and makes good use of its colour photograph illustrations. It gives examples of the kinds of problems people face in interviews, and how they might use each exercise to reframe them, before asking you to do the same.

There are ten different reframing exercises to choose from, so at least one or two of them should work for you.

Although the book is the first in a series aimed at people who stammer, it would also help people who don't stammer but do feel anxious in job interviews. The exercises would also help relieve anxiety in other situations such as presentations.

Finally, almost anyone who has read a technical book on neuro-semantics will know how clunkily written most of them are (sorry, NS fans, but they are) - so we can probably also say that this is the most elegantly written book in the neuro-semantics canon!

I am aware of Hiten's work so was interested to see how he has extended the value that he already brings to his niche audience.
My first observation is that he really understands and relates first hand to the audience which must be inspiring to those experiencing stammering issues. Secondly he takes complex NLP techniques and demystifies them ,delivering a simple, straight-forward and practical way for anyone to understand without any prior knowledge of the subject matter. The book itself offers great tips and would benefit anyone who finds them self experiencing interview anxiety. From my own first-hand knowledge of assisting senior professionals with their careers I think Hiten does a splendid job of providing 10 wonderful tips to help you land that job!
Well worth the investment and not at all padded out with insignificant dressing like so many E-books, it just cuts to the heart of how to change your results.

First of all, I am pleased that this book was published because it is very rare to find books specifically written for people who stammer.

The book is not long so it can be read over the weekend as I did. It is well written and well structured. So all in all, it is very easy to read.

Job interview confidence helps us understand and apply NLP techniques. When I started learning about these I always missed a well written document where I could go through the techniques and understand them well.

One of the things I most like about the book is the variety of techniques it teaches. Basically, there is material there for everybody. Not all the techniques suit everybody but I am sure you are very likely to find the right one for you in this book.

Look forward to future releases from the author.

When the Author Hiten Vyas contacted me to see if I was interested in reviewing his latest e-book, I jumped at the chance. I am familiar in part with Hiten's work & was keen to see & learn more. This e- book is set out in an easy to read format and most importantly, in easy to understand dialogue. Simply pacing yourself through this book & following the author's suggested guidelines should give you positive results.
In summary; easy to read & understand & with the inclusion of "live" working examples. I found this to be a rewarding read.
Please note that I was given access to a free copy of this e-book for review purposes.

I am a person who stammers and was kindly asked by Hiten to write an honest review of his e-book on
Job Interview Confidence for people who stammer.
I have to say that it is very well written and is clear to follow with practical exercises listed throughout
the book. As someone with a limited knowledge of Neuro-Linguistic Programming I did not find it overly difficult
to comprehend. My only reservations will be how effectively one can apply these methods if they have not received
any personal guidance or instruction from an NLP practitioner.
