1. The top broke off after only a few weeks, it didn't stop me using it though it still works fine.
2. The money clip is not very good, it's a bit fiddly.
3. It's not got any room for receipts/business cards/junk, but maybe that's a good thing.
4. The design of the inserts means that from time to time you'll open it and all your cards and money will drop out on the floor, which makes you look like a pillock.
Overall I'd say it's a really good idea that needs a bit of work refining the design.
Unlike a more conventional wallet, the Jimi's hard plastic shell does an excellent job of protecting it's contents--especially your less than robust debit, credit and business cards--and, thanks to it's locking clam-shell design, nothing will fall out. It won't go all limp and soggy if it gets wet, either--although it isn't completely water-tight, of course.
The card holder is designed to accommodate up to four plastic cards (having said that, I've managed to comfortably fit five into mine), and the money clip can easily hold a fair number of folded bank notes.
If you're worried about the Jimi's durability, don't be: I've owned one for over two years and, although I use it every single day of the week, it shows absolutely no signs of wear and tear--apart from some minor cosmetic abrasion, as expected.
For any occasion where practicality takes precedence over style, I'll never consider using a conventional wallet again!
I tend to put 4 cards in the slot side and then 1 card plus folded up notes into the money clip. I think I've had about 6 notes maximum in there before now.
To open it you just press gently onto the 3 raised dots and the top pops open. The wallet then opens up as there is an hinge type device built into the bottom. The top is a moving part so the more often you open your wallet I guess the more likely it is to wear out.
If stored in a back trouser pocket, it is quite wearing on the pocket material, but that is probably quite a common problem with this type of product.
Can't find anything better, so I am gong to buy another!
