A Unique Story Telling Voice.

The mother and daughter writing team of B.F. and A.J. Harrolle have a unique way of blending their voices together to keep the narrative of "Jessica's Truth" flowing in such a way that the reader cannot tell that it was written by two different people. Even in book's like "The Talisman" by Stephen King and Peter Straub, it was easy to tell where one writer left off and the other picked up because of their unique story telling style. "Jessica's Truth" tells the sad tale of a prostitute who is forced to work the streets under a vicious pimp named Sweets. Jessica missed her family very much, but she knows if she tries to leave, Sweets will track her down and destroy everyone she cares about. The book is both sad and suspenseful and is a great part of the "Tale of Dragon Tears" series which all explore broken children and their personal search for redemption.
Laughably unrealistic with alot of hate.

I really wanted to like this book, and it could have been really good but almost all of the characters were so unlikable it was hard to tell who was worse, I tried to like the title character Jessica but the whole story after the first 10 pages just got too outlandish. You have Jessica this found lost child high price call girl turned streetwalking heroin addict.that kicked five years of hardcore street life after 4days locked in her millionaire parents house whom hold her hostage in between heroin and savage beatings from admitted low level pimp (who put the word out cross country in NYC to kill her awesome connections he found her in a few months but millions air dad couldn't find in 5 years)she played and was well known video gamer?? Turns out EVERYONE plays this game from pimp to cop to bookers to sibling and dance troupes. There was so much slapping, hitting and holding hostage by all parties it got boring. But the worst for me was the authors couldnt keep story straight!!! In the beginning she tells readers she ran away after she went to a concert in NYC (from la) didnt have money to get home and was afraid to call dad from shame (yea right so typical of a famous multimillionaire actors daughter to be so righteous at 15) she rather become a homeless prostitute. Later in book she says she left home after a fight with parent. It has so many plot failures it wasn't worth the free read. I couldn't finish it and want my time back lol. The only well done thing was the cover picture which drew me in .all n all just skip this one.
