Jeremy Raybourne is a remarkable 13 year old boy. Having discovered that he has a gene that allows him to open portals to other worlds he has become a reluctant hero and a prisoner in his own home. Not only can he open portals to other worlds but his very existence allows other worlds to open portals to earth. One powerful race wishes to destroy earth to tap into its power.

This book is about his journey as a teenage boy with all his human problems learning to control and understand his gifts. He must liaise with aliens and humans alike, some that think he is a hero some that think he would be better off dead.

When his best friend is kidnapped he must harness his powers to ensure her safe return and enlist the help of an enemy to try and get her to safety.

In Genesis Dawn Larry Thomas has created a brave new world full of possibilities and terrors in equal measure.

Let me just start saying this is a second book in series and you you haven't, you should definitely start reading from the beginning.

Story is catchy and in many ways shows resemblance to stories like Percy Jackson, or even Harry potter, without being copycat.

It keeps unique look at what could happen if...

Although the idea American government would welcome free energy source and left all energy companies to loose their profit doesn't seem plausible:) but hey, it's a kid'a story and remarkable at that.

I can promise you'll love it.

I love a good sci fi adventure especially when it has to do with portals to parallel universes and ordinary people with special powers. Jeremy Raybourne didn't disappoint. Very good read for sci fi lovers.
