I currently reside in a rather lovely period house at Roselle Park near Oxford. This makes a central base for me to regularly travel to photographic catalogue shoots up-North, where I am one of the fashion and clothing photographers. Travelling in the opposite direction, I am able to find my business partner at his home which is also the base for our small photographic business in East Hampshire.
In total, I have written seven books to date. That's six novels and a Victorian cookery book.
Most of these were written in the 90's when my life was being thrown about a bit by assorted events, so it has taken until recently to start seeing them into first electronic Kindle and now hard-copy formats.
After the disappointment of my 'Victorian Pastries Puddings and Treats' cookery book being dropped at the last minute from the Jarrolds publishing list in 2000, I found it very difficult to start writing again. Fortunately this book has now been re-compiled to take pride of place amongst my novels. It is available in both electronic Kindle and hard-copy formats.
Whilst I find myself all too easily diverted from my writing tasks by other seemingly important matters, in 2010 I still managed to complete another Novel entitled "Prisoners of War". With first the Kindle and now the hard copy versions available, it is just in time for the 100th. anniversary of the Great War. The subject matter for the book.
As for my literary future? I am currently working - albeit very slowly- on two new projects, a) another novel, probably to be called 'Pirates All' and b) a cookery book of 'Traditional French Pâtisserie' for the UK market; a subject that seems to be noticeably absent from the UK bookshops I frequent.
