This book was difficult to get into and lacked a comprehensive explaination of some points. I think their are other publications that may be more accessible

5.0 out of 5 stars Irigaray to Women: "Make Men FEEL" 20 Aug. 2013
By Martin Asiner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
In Je, Tu, Nous (1990) Irigaray tries the new tack of creating a gender intersubjectivity that would allow for the mutually beneficial exchange of sexual and gender differences. The key here as Irigaray sees it was implied by the title of an earlier book, This Sex Which is Not One, namely that men must acknowledge women as gender equals. To bring this about Irigaray insists that the entire corpus of negative imagery as implied by the theories of patriarchal repositories of authority like Freud, Hegel, Marx, and Lacan must be foregrounded into the collective male consciousness such that feminists (like Irigaray) could playfully and even mockingly point out their accumulated foibles.
