By C. FULLER TOP 100 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on 6 July 2009
Format: Audio CD
This collection focuses largely on perhaps his most creative period of the early 1950s both with his most illustrious trio and also as a soloist, playing a repertoire studded with high quality compositions which he performed flawlessly and seemingly effortlessly. To see him perform live was breath taking and luckily I got that chance. This CD set brings back much of the charisma that was Oscar.

All original recordings digitally remastered & 49 tracks providing well over 2 hours of listening pleasure. The sound quality reflects the original sources used and whilst not perfect is still well worth hearing. Good liner notes and a classy addition to the Jazz Manifesto series.
