Jaz's Warriors is book 1.5 of Bondmates Series
If you like Hot Sexy reads Ann Mayburn fits the bill abit of Sexy Sci-Fi never hurt no one '
This is a book about finding love and being willing to open yourself to the possibility of helping someone no matter what your original thoughts are. I thought that the way they show each of their strengths and weakness actually help in a relationship not hinder it.
This is only a short read showing Jax's feelings & experience before she is picked & taken to the ship then it jumps to her role while there it's a nice stepping stone to book 2 which I can't wait to read.
Growing up in Harlem, Jaz Brooks never imagined that there would be a day where she’d have two smoking hot alien husbands, Mavet and Xentix, who worshiped her. Or that she would be living on a Kadothian spaceship stationed on one of Saturn’s moons as an Earth Ambassador. And she certainly never imagined her bondmates would be encouraging her to take a third husband, but that’s exactly what’s happening.
Tandar Glycin has been fighting the Hive in the distant Bel’Tan galaxy for so long now he’d given up hope of ever finding his Matriarch. When word reaches him that his blood brother, Mavet, has bonded an Earth female Tandar is both elated and worried. Vicious rumors abound in the Bel’Tan galaxy about how horrible Earth women are and he worries that Mavet has taken a monster as his wife. When he first meets Jaz he quickly realizes that not all of the stories are true, and that the Lord of Life has blessed him with a kind, beautiful, and feisty alyah who is going to make him work to win her heart.
Warning- This story is set in the Bel'Tan galaxy where polyamorous relationships are the norm and love in all of its forms is accepted including M/M, M/M/F, M/M/M/F sexual situations.

Jazmine Brooks, Earth Ambassador to the Kadothians never expected her Masters in Couple’s Therapy to be used in quite the way it was. Since she married her two Kadothian husbands she has spent her time helping other Earth women acclimate to another culture and navigate the complexities of a polyamorous marriage, something she doesn’t have the most experience with herself. Nothing in her background as a preacher’s daughter from Harlem prepared her for the very openly sexual nature of the Kadothian culture.

On the other hand, her experience as an African American woman has given her a double dose of exposure when it comes to prejudice, something the other women from Earth may not have as much experience with when they come up against species prejudice in their new lives. Her very background and experience makes her perfect in her position as Ambassador. Something that has drawn the enmity of one of the Kadothian elders. The fact that the guy is an absolute jerk and seems to have married a very vain and vapid woman with a major self-indulged personality pushes Jaz just a tad too far one time too many and puts her in the crosshairs of scrutiny. Not something she needs on the day she is to meet her potential third husband.

The Kadothian culture is built around blood brother relations where the brothers are sexually involved and typically marry one woman who becomes the matriarch of their family. The matriarch is the central binding factor and key to saving the men from sinking into a beastial state of craziness resulting from the psychic natures. Millenium ago, the women of the Kadothian species were corrupted and became the embodiment of evil. To combat the issue, the men’s reproductive capabilities were altered so that they can only produce male children.

Jaz Brooks never imagined that she’d be Earth’s Ambassador, living on a Kadothian spaceship and married to two smoking hot aliens who are encouraging her to take a third husband but that’s exactly where she’s at in this sizzling sci-fi romance.

Tandar Glycin has been fighting the Hive for so long that he’s given up on ever finding his Matriarch and the reader can’t help but get caught in the scorching chemistry and emotional turmoil that flows from the pages as Tandar works to win Jaz’s heart. These strong compelling characters pull readers into their story as Jaz’s husbands encourage her take on Mavet’s blood brother as a third husband but being as Earth women aren’t quite as accepting of polyamorous relationships, it not as easy as it sounds, especially when having to deal with some haters and all the occurring crises that take place aboard the ship as other Earth women struggle to adapt as well, which keeps tension and expectation building right alongside all the smoking hot passion in this fast paced, smooth flowing and well written plot that’s full of suspense and romance.

OMG! If I were in Jaz’s situation, I think that I probably would believe that I had died and gone to heaven, either that I was in very steamy dream that I wouldn’t want to wake up from. Where was I? Oh yeah, I was completely enthralled with this story and I am looking forward to reading the next steamy fantasy worthy romance… Paige’s Warriors.

This is the second book in a series which I haven't read, but that in no way diminished my enjoyment of this short but spicy Science Fiction read.

The story starts with the invasion of Earth, and then jumps forward to when Jaz is already a Matriarch, mated to two and meeting a potential third. Things are done very differently in this world, and some human females are having trouble adapting. Jaz's counselling experience is able to help her and others to cope with a way of living and loving.

Because I haven't read the first book, I'm not sure if Jaz is mentioned in that, or how she met husbands one and two. This isn't a negative, it's just that this is one fast-paced story so I would like to know more about these characters, just to understand all aspects of the story.

If you are after a short and steamy sci-fi romance with multi partners, then I can definitely recommend this one.

* I received this book from Barclay Publicity in return for a fair and honest review. *
