Filmed live at the Manchester Apollo during his sell out tour, Jason Manford showcases some of the freshest material on the stand up circuit in this hotly anticipated debut DVD. Renowned for his cheeky story-telling and loveable, friendly delivery, Jason takes us through the rules of driving, urinal etiquette, and the lies Dads tell in a tour de force of observational humour. This brand new, critically acclaimed show from Channel 4’s ‘8 out of 10 Cats’ team captain, BBC1’s ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ and host of ‘Live at the Apollo’, will have you laughing before you know it. DVD Extras include Jason being interviewed by his brother, exclusive behind the scenes footage and a visit to Manchester City football ground to meet the club mascot, Moonchester.

One of the main things that makes Jason great at comedy is the fact that he's a normal bloke that you could have a pint with, all of his material is based on normal life experiences that anyone can relate to and his style of delivery is so natural, you may as well be having a chat in the pub!
You will find yourself laughing at his material because it is based on things you have probably done yourself! The section about the thank you wave when driving really tickled me as I'm exactly the same! At one point the other week I was driving and some idiot cut me up and I found myself mouthing "I will rape you" at them (watch the DVD, it will make sense then) then couldn't stop laughing.
All in all, one of the best comedy DVDs I've seen for ages, second only to Michael McIntyre.
Have to say we were slightly disappointed as some of the material we had seen before from watching clips of him on youtube and from live at the apollo. But its still funny to hear again and I would definitley rate it. :0)
It's rare for me to watch anything more than once so it was pleasant to want to do so with this. Really recommend watching this on Amazon Prime Movies (for free) or getting the DVD for about £2 on Amazon UK. 5 out of 5 for a funny man with a funny routine.
Jason is probably the finest comedian to come out of Manchester, ever. In fact, if it weren't for Coronation Street, I'd say he would be the finest 'thing' to come out of Manchester. And while I adore Coronation Street, sometimes it's nice to take a break from the stresses of the cobbles and watch something a bit more light hearted to get my Manchester fix. This is where Jason Manford steps in.
Jason has appeared on all sorts of shows, and when he became a team captain on 'As Seen On TV, with the lovely Fern Britton as opposition, my passion for his comedy grew greater. Before long I was 'youtubing' his name on a daily basis, and longing for more Live at the Apollo appearances. Just when I thought all was at a loss as my 'Manford Fix' was becoming scarce, the news was broken that he was releasing a DVD. The world seemed a much brighter place.
I had to wait until Christmas to receive his DVD, 'Jason Manford - Live at the Manchester Apollo', which was quite a few weeks after it was initially released for public purchase. Thankfully though, I can safely say that it was well worth the wait. Now packaging of products is almost as important as the content itself, and this one excels.Read more ›
