Product description

Review

A witty companion. --Irish Tatler Man

From the Inside Flap

The book is inspired by a 1970s publication of the same name by another James Sherwood - no relation - who is today the owner of the Orient-Simplon Express and luxury hotels and restaurants around the world. He contributes a foreword.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for Londoners and those who visit them! 21 Dec. 2016
By hildynyc - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Really like this book! I gave it to a friend who is new to London as a way to see the real London after he's done with the touristy bits. It's choc-a-bloc full of unique experiences, many costing nothing, some pricey, and lots in between. Highly recommend to those who have been to London more than once and want to experience something different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary Sites 13 April 2016

We are looking forward to visiting the sites described in this book. When traveling, it is of interest to us to visit extraordinary places, rather than all the regular tourist haunts.

WELL WRITTEN A JOY TO READ.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written Guide to High End London 17 May 2017
By Bentonian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
If you have sybaritic tastes and an appreciation for good prose, you'll find this to be as useful and entertaining a guide as you'll ever read. Wish the two James Shermans could write one for every city.
