Just as stunning as Volume 1 - Whyte sadly died before Jaguar's 1980s/90s sports car programme came to full fruition so we're left with a history that ends before some of their greatest triumphs. What we get here is the story of the D-type, E-type, XJ12 and XJS in racing, and the first few years of the Cat's return to top-class sports car racing with the Tullius and Walkinshaw XJRs. As with volume 1, the depth and breadth of research is incredible. Any fan of the marque or keen historian of racing will find this unmissable.
Sorry for my language,I'm Italian, but I love British Sports Car from always and above all old dear races...this book is gorgeous, full of beautiful pictures too, written by the Jaguar specialist Andrew Whyte and it is absolutely complete about the second part of Jaguar racing activity. The first is feauturing on Vol.1.I can recommend it then to all racing fans, old & new.
