Book 2 of the Broken Doll Series and just WOW! My only complaint is it wasn't long enough!

We rejoin Jag and Miri after at the end of book 1. That awful Kindle throw inducing cliffhanger is finally over. I'm finding it really hard to write this bit as i don't want to give any spoilers of the story-line because you need to read Junkie before this and if i write too much here then it will spoil the cliffhanger bit. But in very short summary the story continues much in the way Junkie ended. Violent and loving. Yes they're contradictions but just go with it.

I am so happy my fingers have been pried of that cliffhanger ledge and i have the full story. Jag stole my heart completely in this book. He was close at the end of Junkie to having it i just needed a push and this book was it. He's actually a little bit of a split personality. He's two men, Boss and Jag. Before Miri came along he was just Boss. Spending years getting rid of any traces of Jag after his sister died he became the mean heartless and very much ruthless drug dealer everyone knew. When Miri came along something inside him split and the Jag side of him fought to break free. Although i loved both sides of him the Jag side made me fall for him. Always so protective and not just of Miri but all those close to him.

Miri grew and grew throughout these two books. From the beaten down junkie she started off as to the strong loving woman she became. She had to fight every step of the way to get her ending and the road she traveled was filled with pain both physical and emotionally. I've probably never read a character quite as strong but i think without Jag she would not have made it. She drew off his strength and used it in her times of need. Poor Miri suffers badly in this book.

WOW!!!! What an amazing book, story and conclusion to this amazing set of books. I am so pleased that this book ended up like this and that the outcome was even better than I planned.

Jagger is a continuation of Junkie and it starts straight away from where it was left. I was engrossed and completely spellbound by this amazing read. Miri and Jag are torn apart in Junkie and Jagger is about his fight to find her and her fight to survive.

This book is brutal and contains alot of triggers. But I feel they were handled well and not just dusted over. I cried a lot reading this book and I held my breath even more. My heart almost beat out of my chest on occasion and I smiled hugely at the end.

I feel these books are Amazing and a definite must read. Heather C Leigh is on my radar and I intend to read all she has to offer.

Following on from Junkie, Miri is in Hell. Fighting to survive is the hardest thing she's had to do and she's determined that no one will break her. As holding on gets even harder she can't help wondering if Jagger will get to her in time.

Jagger is going nuts trying to get to Miri. Making deals to get the help he needs to find her, he'll stop at nothing to get her back.

I loved this book. The relationship and bond between Miri and Jag has grown and developed since the first book. It's full of mystery, suspense, back stabbing and it's a lot darker than Junkie. With great characters and an addictive story I struggled to put this down.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
This is a continuation straight on from where #1 ended. If I thought that #1 was a dark read, then this one was darker. Miri and Jagger are still as hot, passionate, intense, and romantic as ever. This is a well written, intense, gritty, violent, and action packed novel.
I am in awe of this authors talent in the way in which she wrote this storyline in such a way, that it flowed seamlessly. I was intrigued and captivated with this series from the very beginning. Cannot wait to read more of Heather’s work, and I recommend to all lovers of dark reads.

This is the concluding book to Junkie. I loved it .... it was a bit more dark, there are some triggers for people but it was written delicately. It's not a fluff book but it's not dark either it's a lovely romance.
We read how mire and jag got their happily ever after with a lovely epilogue.
There is a reappearance of Miri friend Cat ... it's a good read and I was gripped all the way through.

Such a fab conclusion to the broken doll series I loved Jagger so much. this book was a lot darker than book one Junkie, but i think it needed to be to bring this story to it's needed conclusion .Jag and Mira grew so much in this book, they also went through a lot and were tested on all fronts this was an amazing read that I really enjoyed.

2.5 Too Dark for me stars

Jagger is the second book in the Broken Doll series.

I’m going to be completely honest and say that at 23% I almost gave up on this book. It’s rare that I declare a book a DNF but I got to a point with this story that I felt I couldn’t continue.

This book starts with some horrific scenes of abuse and torture and it was all a bit too much for me. I dabble with the darker side of romance and even though I loved the first book in this series I struggled to find the love story amongst the rape and beatings.

I had to put this book down for a couple of days and after some reassurance off a fellow reader that the worst was almost over I convinced myself to try to read the rest of the story.

I’m pleased to say that it did get better; it’s still a very violent and bloodthirsty book. But there was some light at the end of the pitch black tunnel.

Jag and Miri’s love story does shed a glimmer of hope in this horrible world and I appreciated the way they loved each other.

Unfortunately for me the whole story was tainted by my unease that the story would return to the uncomfortable scenes of Miri’s kidnap.

I’m glad I carried on reading, I’m glad that I got to read the conclusion and happy ending to Jag and Miri’s story. But I didn’t enjoy this book.

Jagger gets 2.5 too dark stars for me.
