First impressions are they are good I like the foldable design makes them nice and compact. I love the colour scheme.
The sound is amazing they go really loud so no need to have my laptop turned very high, I wear glasses and they are very comfortable (so far). The only design flaw is that there isn't a padded head band just a bit of foam that as kids we used to use to make cards but I suppose that's something to do with the way they fold. They are very light on.
The jack is right angled which I prefer as there's less distortion if the sound source is in the pocket. The extending system seems quite tough and despite the headphones being all plastic it feels solid only weakness I can see would be the folding mechanism and where the wires connect to the cups. Talking of the wire it doesn't seem particularly tough very thin plastic in the easy to split apart style although there is a bit of plastic to stop it splitting all the way down.
Sound wise the headphones are great to my ears at any rate not a lot of bass put personally I don't mind, words are clear. What might be a problem for some people is the shape of these headphones they bow out a lot so on full extension they are almost a circle, for me it's not a problem as the band can hide in my hair but for people with little hair or narrow heads it may look odd.
For the price I paid, a good all rounder if needing a cheap pair of folding headphones then I recommend them unless you're looking for lots of bass then I would get some House of Marley Soul Rebels.Read more ›
Using my Philips mp3 player, I might use a volume of 7 out of 30, but then changing to my old Ross headphones I have to turn up to 15 to get the same level. The same can be said of the Philips buds that came with the player.
The pads themselves are really soft and comfy which sit ON my [small] ears rather than over. However I guess because they are sold as small portable phones, they are rather tight and fit my wife's smaller head better than me. After a while my ear does start to feel a bit bruised from the sprung pressure which is real shame. I shall try again with some over-ear phones (probably JVC!).
Conclusion : Fantastic headphones for the smaller head or as long as you don't mind pressure on your ear.
