High quality digital audio compatible 32 speed CD-R. 700Mb 80 minute capacity for use with most home hi-fi CD recorders. Taiyo Yuden media is now appearing with JVC labels and branding Why? In May 2008 Taiyo Yuden purchased a majority share of JVC's optical and magnetic media business giving Taiyo Yuden the right to use the JVC name on its discs, starting from 2009 they have been rebranding the packaging with discreet JVC logos, the discs are still made in Japan on the same Taiyo Yuden production lines as they have always been. The original Taiyo Yuden range is now sold as JVC advanced media professional range, as the Taiyo Yuden reputation and name have been synonymous with reliability and quality it is still often used in listings and discussions about media. The professional range is not retail packed you will often just see a JVC dust sticker on the shrink wrapped products, covering the spindle holes, or JVC advanced media printed on cake tub seals. You can research this by looking up JVC Taiyo Yuden merger
Top Customer Reviews
They are manufactured in Japan in a joint venture between JVC Victor Co. Ltd. & Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd.
As you may, or may not, know Japanese manufactured CD's are some of the best available on the market and after trying other brands of discs I now
insist on only using their CD-R's & DVD+/-R's. (HHB discs are a good second choice, but are quite hard to find these days).
At the time of writing I have never had any discs that have malfunctioned or been rejected by my Tascam CD Recorder or any other branded CD player.
This certainly can't be said for other brands of discs.
They come re-packed in a 25 pack 'cake' spindle and are plain 'silver' fronted CD-R's.
Audio reproduction is very good and I am always very happy with the end results.
